National Library Week Celebration



Communities thrive @ your library®: celebrate National Library Week at the New Rockford Public Library April 11-17

(New Rockford, ND) – It’s National Library Week, a time to celebrate the contributions of libraries, librarians and library workers in schools, campuses and communities nationwide.

The New Rockford Public Library is celebrating National Library Week by having a silent auction to run from April 12-19 culminating with a Library Tea on April 19th from 2-6:30 last bid in the auction must be placed by 6:30 on the 19th.

“Libraries are the heart of every community and our library helps our community thrive,” says Susie Sharp, Librarian “At our library, people of all backgrounds come together for community meetings, programs, to take computer classes, to do research with the assistance of the librarian, to get help finding a job or to find homework help, and to see local authors read from their books.

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April.
